The Tom Belbin Trio works with a series of highly talented, professional musicians, who can step in for any member of The Tom Belbin Trio under extenuating circumstances. These circumstances can include illness, not being available due to prior commitments before booking the group or family illness. The members of The Tom Belbin Trio strive to attend all of their functions as they all enjoy playing together as a group, and hat missing out on the opportunity to play together for appreciative audiences. However due to the circumstances above it is not always the case that musicians will be able to attend, so the musicians listed below are on call to save the day, ensuring that the Tom Belbin Trio can deliver the high standard promise offered to their clients under any circumstance.
Becky Wolf (Vocals)
Our main singer Becky Wolf regularly comes and plays with The Tom Belbin Trio, not to replace musicians, but to add the extra dynamics vocals provide. Performing since she was 15 years old, Becky is an experienced musician who has toured the UK festival circuit for years and has played with many bands from different genres in front of large audiences. Her specialism of Jazz vocals has enabled Becky to perform jazz standards and her own music at private functions and corporate events. Becky’s extensive experience with Jazz, and happy, fun confident personality will add a presence and atmosphere to your event that will never be forgotten. Check out the pricing section of the site to find out how you can add vocals into your set, and listen to Becky here to hear her fantastic vocals.
Andrew Blee (Saxophone)
Andrew has many years playing experience across the South Coast, including performances at the “Onstage at Pier Approach” annual summer event and Bournemouth’s Shelley Theatre. Gigging regularly with multiple groups, including the mighty Red Fez Orchestra and Forza Saxophone Quartet, Andrew covers a wide range of jazz and classical styles, and has worked alongside some of the top musicians in the country. When not performing Andrew co-runs the JazzSmart saxophone workshops collaborating with some of the UKs top saxophonists and educators such as Andy Scott, Derek Nash, Mike Hall and Krzysztof Urbanski.
Jack Hertzberg (Bass)
When Jack initially began his studies at Chichester University he was mainly focused on Classical studies, but after a tutor introduced him to George Benson’s Cookbook album, he switched his focus onto the Jazz discipline. It was this change of focus that introduced him to the likes of Jaco Pastorious, leading him to playing more Jazz Bass; this change in style and learning really helped him to become a well-rounded musician. Jack has played in many well recognised bands around West Sussex, including Beatroot, an 8 piece funk band in which he plays guitar, and Captain Scarlett and the Mysterons, for which he plays bass. His professional attitude, extensive knowledge of a wide range of styles and constant reliability makes Jack a player high in demand, and a go to choice for The Tom Belbin Trio.
Robert Jane (Drums)
Rob has worked across the country and Europe performing jazz, musical theatre and classical music. Graduating from the University of Chichester in 2017, Rob has appeared numerous times at popular jazz clubs in Chichester, Bournemouth and Brighton as well as performing at the Cheltenham Jazz Fringe Festival with his band ‘The Sandwich’. Meanwhile, his work in classical and musical theatre styles has seen him work with top West End musical directors and renowned European conductors and taken him across Europe, including Bucharest, Paris and Valencia.
Stefan J Robinson (Drums)
Stephan is an exceptional drummer with years of experience playing and touring the U.K. His wide range of styles, with a focus on world music, allows him to replicate styles with ease. His enthusiasm for drums and energy makes him enjoyable to work with, and one of the top drummers on the south coast.
